Shotgun Alley

Crag · Utah

Tucked into the sandstone hills near St. George, Shotgun Alley offers a short approach to a compact corridor of routes. The walls rise in warm desert hues, with vertical to slightly overhanging faces that catch plenty of sun, making it a good cool-season venue. Climbs here tend toward single-pitch sport lines with straightforward protection, and the rock’s texture provides a mix of positive edges and pockets. The narrow canyon funnels light breezes, helping to keep conditions pleasant while you work your way through the routes. It’s a welcoming spot for those looking to spend a few hours on quality local stone without a long hike in.
