Sven Slab is probably the most popular crag in McDowell because of its short approach and selection of easy to moderate slab climbs. It has a good mix of bolted slabs and trad climbs and a range of difficulty. ### Getting There Starting at Toms Thumb Trailhead, head left for .3 miles or so until you see a sign for Sven Slab. Follow the trail on the right uphill for a few minutes until you arrive at the base of the crag. There is a smaller section with climbs like Changes in Longitude lower down, but if you follow the trail a bit farther you will end up at Quaker Oats on the far right of the main wall.
