Burns Wall

Crag · Nevada

A fun little cliff which gets sun late into the day. Park at the Kraft Mountain Parking Lot at the very end of the drive into Calico Basin. Hike out east around Kraft Mountain, past Monkey Bar Boulder and Cannibal Crag. As you hike up the wash on the back side of the mountain, the first sandstone wall to your right will be the appropriately named Swirly Crag; Burns Wall is a little further on (~200 yards?) past that. Once you spot Burns Wall's identifiable "humpback" silhouette (see photos), continue a little ways in the wash until you find the smooth plateau which marks the approach trail. I'm not 100% this is the best way, but it's the only one I could find. It's quite steep and sketchy in places. With that said, the climbs do seem fun!
